e.g. the timing of implant installation, the mucogingival approach and soft tissue augmentation procedures in different situations. The work in the small group made it possible to have a very intensive workshop, something which the widely traveled (even from the USA) international participants appreciated very much.

During the hands-on part the participants could intensively train the content, which Prof. Zucchelli conveyed during the theory on the basis of his own clinical pictures and videos. Prof. Zucchelli was actively supported by Dr. Martina Stefanini, who, like Prof. Zucchelli himself, teaches at the University of Bologna and has accompanied him for years in his courses. As always with workshops organized by the Stoma Academy, the participants were provided with instruments, blades and sutures, which the speaker also uses for his surgeries. The participants were able to test these on pork pines for the techniques shown. On the second day, during the live surgery, the participants were able to witness how Prof. Zucchelli implemented theoretically mediated techniques on a patient.
